1. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE CHILD'S NAME IS WRITTEN ON THE PAPER IN THE SPACE PROVIDED.( See below for details )
  2. The canvas may be used in either portrait or landscape orientation.
  3. Ensure you circle the arrow indicating the top of picture.
  4. The black line box on the canvas, will be covered by the mount so please fill completely to the line.
  5. The canvas may be reversed with the picture covering the back of the canvas in its entirety. In this case we will use no mount.
  6. Please complete artwork as described in 3 or 4 above half filled canvases often do not display well without a mount and with a mount some of the drawing is lost.
  7. The paper will take the majority of art mediums: Paint ( Water-colour, Acrylics, Poster ) , Crayon, Fibre Tip etc. The more colour the better. An alternative is a flat collage e.g. needlework, tissue paper etc.
  8. When selecting a theme we suggest that it be generic rather than specific to enable the pupils to use their imagination and make the exhibition interesting and varied
  9. If deciding to utilise an existing piece of art by sticking to our canvases please ensure that it is centralised and covers the black line border.
  10. Double mounting is not necessary (the mount sets-off the artwork) and, unless completed accurately, it may not align within the mount.
  11. The other information is used to produce the catalogue and if the child's class is written in this space it can also be included. For small schools the subject can be included in the catalogue and it is preferable to have a wide range of subjects. For larger schools the subjects should be the class, group or year theme.
